At Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent, our volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization. Each and every volunteer position is vital to building homes for local families in our community. The ReStore is an integral part of our home building program. As you invest your time and effort into the ReStore, more and more resources are available to put towards preparing homes for our Habitat partner families.

This volunteer position helps provide oversight of the organization and high-level direction. Ideally candidates would have experience in the following areas:
The ReStore is a great place to meet new people and learn new life skills. You are very much appreciated and acknowledged.
I missed the social aspect of working and I started to lose confidence in my ability to work. I always feel better when my shift is over. My need to socialize is satisfied. My caregiving need is satisfied. I work my mind and it is gentle on my body.
I volunteer because it gets me out of the house for a few hours every week. Habitat gives me a new opportunity to learn new things and I have made a new family of friends.
