We exist to fill the gap between renting and traditional homeownership. We partner with families to build safe, affordable homes.
Homeownership provides a strong foundation for families to build a better future and thrive in a stable long-term home. Through our Affordable Homeownership Program, families purchase their home at fair market value and will pay an interest free mortgage using no more than 30% of their gross household income.
Supported by donations, volunteers and community and corporate partnerships, Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent helps families by giving them the opportunity to realize the dream of owning a home. The impacts of owning a home are long lasting and life changing.
Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent Homeowners must be active participants in building a better home and future for themselves and their families.
